A fine model based on the original 18th century version made by Mrs Eleanor Coade for Ham House, Twickenham, London. Here we have these handsome finials made in Coade stone in the same material as developed by Coade in the 18th century – it’s twice fired mixture including silica makes this material impervious to the weather, hence we still have extant such fine examples of Mrs Coade’s stone adorning the finest houses and gardens in the country.
