With January nearly behind us and the light just starting to illuminate the gloomth, our thoughts turn to the hope of Spring as heralded by snowdrops, winter aconite, crocus and then daffodil. As always, we are looking to innovate and this year our new items include planters for the inside – our house is now full of them! And we have again gone large, with a new version of the ever-popular Sissinghurst Castle Garden Copper Planter, sold in partnership with the National Trust, with a donation from every sale supporting the Trust’s conservation work. I very much hope this email finds you well. In a blaze of colour Autumn is upon us and so it’s time to get out into the world once more. To this end, I am pleased to say we will be exhibiting, as a small pop up, at the Society of Garden + Landscape Designers Autumn Symposium, this year in the Sheffield City Hall - Friday 17 October & Saturday 18 October 2025. At the two-day Symposium the SGLD has invited international speakers to provide perspectives and insight on the theme ‘Designing Sustainably for a Changing Climate’. The Symposium will include talks, panel discussions and group tours of some of the inspiring urban regeneration projects in the region.

Although Chelsea Flower Show finished a little over four weeks ago, it feels like an age... I did then have a thought that, with so much work and effort put in by the whole team, it feels only right we should celebrate with a few images of a stand built, displayed, and taken back down again to the patch of earth now covered by Treasure House Antiques Fair. I wish to thank all who were able to pop on the stand and say Hi, and for those who were not able to make the show, there was always the BBC to highlight the many wonderful gardens this year.

And here we are again – the world has taken a turn, and we arrive back at Chelsea Flower Show. With preparations well under way we are looking forward to returning for the 35th / 40th (we can’t remember) time for what is always a major event in our exhibition calendar. We are once again in our spot opposite the Bull Ring Entrance and will be exhibiting a fine selection of garden antiques and stone troughs, alongside our perennial(!) verdigris copper planters and water features, iron garden furniture, and many other items from our Heritage Handmade Garden Collections.

Thankfully, Spring is upon us with bright blue skies, the first sharp greens and early blossom – I am just ignoring the cold wind! With Autumn truly upon us I have been waiting for a crisp, dry! day to photograph in stock and available Handmade Collection items – please see all listed below. Thankfully, we have had a very busy season with good orders from clients around the globe… this demand, however, has stretched our small production capacity to the limit, with order times now at 5/6 months for our Copper Planters and Water Features, and 3 months for all other items, with this in mind please do consider ordering now for your spring projects.

Our Chelsea display is nearly completed and yesterday I went around the stand and added up the combined weight of all of the elements, including the gravel, York Stone paving, three large 18th century stone troughs, two period lead cisterns, statuary on plinths and quite a lot of plants within all our containers, to an estimated total of: 9500 kg.

We are in our usual position opposite the Bull Ring Embankment Entrance (Stand SR 146) and are proud to present a wonderful selection of Architectural Heritage Garden Antiques, including 17th and 19th century lead cisterns, fine bronze urns and statuary, alongside stone troughs and our very own mini shepherd’s hut! All displayed in concert with our Heritage Handmade Garden Collections copper and lead planters, iron furniture and much more…

We have been busy… It was great to reconnect with old clients and introduce ourselves to new at the LAPADA Berkeley Square Art & Antiques Fair, and then on to Decorex at Olympia - it’s good to be out and about.
